At first glance, Villa Artemis might seem remote, nestled in the midst of hilly countryside. Indeed it is at the end of a winding road, currently the last house on the edge of a field and forest. However, it’s only a few minutes by car from the main road, and about 10 minutes from the Entrance 1 of the Plitvice Lakes.
The owner, a young, friendly family man, greeted us personally in a very kind manner. He speaks English well. He showed us everything in the apartment, personally ensuring that we found everything to our satisfaction. He would have been ready to assist us in any way. Since he works in the park, he shared many interesting facts about the park’s maintenance with us, real behind-the-scenes secrets.
The apartment at Villa Artemis was brand new upon our arrival, having been built just a year ago (2022). It’s tasteful, refined, with a large kitchen fully equipped with utensils, pans, a large fridge, microwave, coffee makers, kettle, clean, and comfortable even for a longer stay. The view of the fields was magnificent. Although we were a bit disappointed by the small windows.
The TV setup was brilliant. Placed directly opposite the bed, perfect for a real movie-watching experience in the evening. Of course, there was Netflix too. The bed was comfortable and large. The designer lamps next to the bed were very eye-catching during the day but we found them too bright for the evening atmosphere.
However, with the candles on the table, the place was transformed into a truly romantic setting. We arrived at Villa Artemis during the cool spring weather. By the time we got there, the radiators had heated the apartment to a very comfortable warmth. We warmly recommend it.
